Data Deletion & Account Deletion

Section LLC operates YourScene (website and mobile app). This page explains how to delete your account and personal data, what deletion removes, and what it does not.

Delete your account in the app (recommended)

1. Open the app and go to Profile
2. Tap Settings, then Account
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm

You are signed out immediately. Your request is processed automatically, usually within a few hours, and we email a confirmation to the address on your account when it is complete. We aim to complete every request within 30 days.

If you signed in with Apple, we revoke YourScene's access to your Apple ID as part of deletion. If we cannot do that automatically, your request is completed by our team.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@yourscene.app from the address on your account with the subject Account Deletion Request. Include your username if you know it, and whether you want your whole account deleted or only specific data. We may ask you to verify your identity.

What deletion removes

• Profile: your name and username are replaced with "Deleted User"; your photo, cover, bio, pronouns, links, home and selected city, and contact hashes are removed, and your profile is made private
• Activity: RSVPs, saved events, check-ins, attendance history, plans, follows (yours and of you), likes, comments, reactions, reposts and event invitations
• Content: Pulse posts and clips, reports you submitted, and your Fan Passport city fields
• Messages you sent and your participation in conversations
• Notifications: in-app notifications, notification preferences, registered devices and push tokens
• Preferences and signals: interests, teams, recommendation feedback, search signals, badges and scores
• Diagnostics: error reports and app-session records linked to your account
• Sign-in: your account credentials, so the account can no longer be used

What deletion does not remove automatically

• Events you created stay listed without your name, so guests and co-hosts keep them. Email privacy@yourscene.app if you want them taken down.
• Organizer, venue and curator pages you claimed or manage, and curated lists published under them, are handled by our team, because other people may manage them or rely on them.
• Uploaded files (photos, videos, audio) are deleted from storage in a separate cleanup step that our team currently runs manually; this can take up to 30 days.
• Messages other people sent you stay in their conversations.
• Backups held by our database provider expire on their own schedule.
• Records we must keep for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons, and aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you.

Website city signup only

If you joined a city signup on the website but never created an app account, email privacy@yourscene.app from the same address and ask us to remove your signup, including the city and attribution details we stored.
