Terms of Use

Version: 2.0 · Effective: 2026-10-15

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the YourScene website, city signup, and mobile application (together, the "Services"), operated by Section LLC ("Section," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission. Some events listed on YourScene are restricted to people 18 or 21 and older; you are responsible for meeting any age requirement set by an event, venue or ticket seller. YourScene does not verify age for event entry.

2. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One person per account. Do not impersonate anyone or create accounts to evade a suspension.
  • Tell us about unauthorized use at support@yourscene.app.

3. City signup (website)

The website offers city signups and early-access updates. One signup per email address. A signup does not guarantee access, a launch date or availability in your city, and does not create an app account. We may email you about launch timing and product updates; you can ask to be removed as described on our Data Deletion page.

4. Event listings and third-party information

  • Listings, times, prices, lineups, venue details and recommendations come from organizers, venues, partners, other users and public sources, including official calendars and ticketing sites. We work to keep them accurate but do not guarantee that any event will happen as listed, or that a listing is complete, current or safe.
  • YourScene is not the organizer, promoter, venue or seller of any event unless we clearly say so.
  • Crowd, energy, "happening now" and similar signals are estimates.
  • Check details with the organizer or ticket seller before you go. You attend events at your own risk.

5. Tickets and external sites

Ticket, RSVP and "official details" links may take you to third-party websites or apps. YourScene does not sell tickets, process payments or handle refunds. Purchases are between you and the seller, under the seller's terms and privacy policy.

6. Events you create and invitations

  • You may create public or private events. You are responsible for the accuracy of your event, for having the right to host it at the place you list, and for complying with laws and venue rules (including capacity, permits and age limits).
  • Invitation links and public event pages can be forwarded by anyone who has them. Do not put private information you are not willing to share in a public event.
  • Co-hosts you add can see and manage the event. If you delete your account, events you created may remain listed without your name so guests and co-hosts keep them.
  • We may remove or hide events that are inaccurate, duplicated, unsafe or against these Terms.

7. Organizers, promoters, venues and curators

If you claim or manage an organizer, venue, promoter or curator page, or publish curated lists:

  • You confirm that you are authorized to act for that business or person, and that the information you publish is accurate.
  • You are responsible for your listings, offers and claims, and for honoring them with attendees.
  • Curated lists must reflect your own genuine selections. Do not present paid placement as editorial without disclosing it.
  • We may verify claims, require proof of authorization, edit or remove inaccurate information, or remove access. Claiming a page does not give you ownership of other users' content or of the YourScene page itself.

8. Your content

  • You keep ownership of the content you post: photos, videos, audio, live broadcasts, posts, comments, messages, events and lists ("Your Content").
  • You grant Section a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resize or transcode), display, perform and distribute Your Content to operate, promote and improve the Services, including on our website and in shared links. The license for public content continues for a reasonable time after you delete it, and for content others have shared or saved, but we do not otherwise use deleted content.
  • You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to post it, including from people who appear in it, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
  • Do not upload music, video or images you do not have the right to share.

9. Live broadcasts and messages

  • Live broadcasts are public to viewers while live. Do not stream people who have not agreed to be filmed where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
  • Direct messages are private between participants but are not end-to-end encrypted. We may review messages when they are reported or when we need to for safety or legal reasons.

10. Community conduct

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines and not to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, dox, stalk or impersonate anyone
  • Post hate speech, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate images, or content that promotes violence or self-harm
  • Sell or promote illegal goods, drugs, weapons or scams, or ticket fraud
  • Spam, manipulate engagement, or post misleading events
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, overload or bypass the security of the Services, except as the law allows
  • Use the Services to break the law or others' rights

11. Reports, moderation and enforcement

You can report profiles, events, posts, clips, comments and conversations in the app, and block or mute people. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice when needed for safety. We report child sexual exploitation as the law requires (see our Child Safety Standards). If you think we made a mistake, contact support@yourscene.app.

12. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, the YourScene name and logos, are owned by Section or its licensors. You may not use our trademarks without permission. Third-party names, logos and event artwork belong to their owners.

Copyright complaints: if you believe content on YourScene infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@yourscene.app identifying the work, the content and its location, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized and that your notice is accurate. We remove infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF EVENT LISTINGS OR THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, ORGANIZER OR VENUE.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECTION AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY EVENT YOU LEARN ABOUT OR ATTEND THROUGH THEM.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; there they apply to the fullest extent permitted.

15. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless Section from claims arising out of Your Content, events or pages you manage, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account) or as described on our Data Deletion page. We may suspend or end access for violations, risk to others, or if we discontinue the Services. Sections 8 (license for content already shared), 12–15 and 17 survive termination.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Apple App Store

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and has no warranty obligations beyond refunding any purchase price. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

19. Changes

We may update these Terms. Each revision has a new version number and effective date. For material changes we will give notice in the app, on the website or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
